Outlook for the Web

Microsoft’s Office 365 Outlook for the Web formerly known as Outlook Web App (OWA) is a cloud based website for access to your email, calendar and contacts via the web from anywhere in the world. Using any browser, navigate to and log in using your MyCoyote ID and password. It is also available for your convenience on myCoyote Portal at

How can I access Outlook for the Web?

To log in:

  1. In the User name field type in your MyCoyote ID, which is what you use to log into the CSUSB Domain.
  2. Enter your MyCoyote password in the password box.
  3. Under Security, check the type of computer you are using. Do not check Private if other users have access to the computer you are using.

Is Outlook for the Web secure?

Outlook for the Web uses the secure HTTPS protocol, which means that the information that it passes over the Internet is as secure as an online transaction can be.

When using Outlook for the Web (or when you are involved in any online transaction) you should always be conscious of the security of the computer that you’re using. Who owns the computer? Is the operating system up to date? Is an up to date antivirus product installed and running? Is the computer showing symptoms of spyware infection? Did you remember to log out of Outlook for the Web when you were done?
